Five Weeks To Go

Once again we are leaving the U.S. for a cruise around South America.  Our journey will take us from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida down the east coast of South America, around the Horn and up the west coast to Los Angeles.  Some of our ports include Barbados, Trinidad, Rio, Buenos Aires, Falkland Islands, Ushuaia, Chile, Costa Rica & Mexico.  Our ship is the Crown Princess and, I believe, it holds 2,000-3,000 passengers. Our World Cruises ('08 & '11) were both on the Pacific Princess which only takes 600 passengers.  A lot of camaraderie on a small ship, not sure how we will like traveling with 2 or 3 thousand fellow travelers.  I think there will be a lot of people doing segments on this trip.  Probably a few hundred getting off with another few hundred getting on in various ports. We leave February 15th and will be gone for 6 weeks.

This seal found a comfortable resting place  on the front of our ship for his afternoon nap.  These pictures were taken on one of our previous trips to South America.  The two girls are from Manta, Ecuador which also happens to be the home of the panama hat.
